27-31 October 2008 - Amsterdam (AP/MTT ED)
European Microwave Week 2008

The European Microwave Week 2008 continues the series of successful microwave events, following Amsterdam (1998 and 2004), Munich (1999, 2003 and 2007), Paris (2000 and 2005), London (2001), Milan (2002), and Manchester (2006) with its 11th Conference and Exhibition Week. This conference series has continued to grow and is now the premier event in this field in Europe. The European Microwave Week now consists of four conferences:

27-30 May 2008 - Noordwijk (AP/MTT)
30th ESA Antenna Workshop on Antennas for Earth Observation, Science, Telecommunication and Navigation Space Missions

The Antennas and Sub-Millimeter Waves Section of the Electromagnetic Division together with the Structures Section of the Directorate of Technical and Quality and Management (DTEC) at ESTEC organize the 30th ESA Antenna Workshop. The Workshop will be held from 27-30 May 2008 at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The Workshop will be organized with parallel oral sessions and round table discussions. A dedicated area will be available for poster presentations. A visit to the ESTEC Test Facilities will be organized.
The 30th ESA Antenna Workshop will provide an open forum focused on space Antennas (satellite and ground segments) for Earth Observation, Science, Telecommunication and Navigation missions with the aim of fostering exchange of ideas between researchers and developers involved in the electrical and thermo-mechanical domains. Contributions from European and non-European companies, organisations, universities and institutions are solicited.
This workshop will provide an overview of the current state of the art highlighting the latest developments in this domain. Participants will have the opportunity to share their technical expertise and experiences by formal presentations, both in oral and in poster format, informal discussions and round tables. The main objectives of the 30th ESA Antenna Workshop are:

  • To present the state-of-the-art and to explore innovative approaches for all space antenna systems and associated electrical, mechanical and thermal design.
  • To explore and discuss needs, new trends and possibilities, looking at the development of antenna technologies for future remote sensing, scientific, telecommunication and navigation applications.
