Kees Schouhamer Immink recipient of the 2017 IEEE Medal of Honor

IEEE Benelux member Kees Schouhamer Immink has been named the recipient of the 2017 IEEE Medal of Honor.

“for pioneering contributions to video, audio, and data recording technology, 
including compact disc, DVD, and Blu-ray”

On Friday afternoon, June 16, a seminar in honor of Kees will be held in Rotterdam.

Power Engineering Symposium on 22 March

The IEEE Student Branch Leuven organizes the 13th Edition of it's Power Symposium. This year's topic is "The Digital Substation", which will be discussed by several experts from industry and academia.

The symposium will take place on Wednesday, March 22th 2017, at aula R in ESAT, the electrical engineering departement at KU Leuven. The symposium will start at 14.00 and close at 18.00 with a reception.

Registration is required for participation under http://ieee-sb-leuven.be/PowerSymposium2017. The participation is free of charge.
